Weekly Wrap-Up 10-16-17

Inktober Week 2 – After hitting a few roadblocks late night I realized it’s best to just draw whatever comes to me at night. I thought about trying to hit a theme each day but in the past I got tired of sticking to a particular topic or era. Somedays I want to do sentai stuff the next day fun animal characters.

Inktober Week 1 – The first couple were a little hard. I have been doing digital lately so it takes a few tries before my hands feel steady to do long line work. So far so good I have a schedule when I get home to not burn out on my daily pieces for the month.

2. Striker Jr. Pacific Rim 2

3. Iden Versio Battlefront 2

4. Wary traveller on his walk

9. 80’s Sentai on her way to a fight

Weekly Wrap-Up 10-2-17

My last week before Inktober begins. I did a couple of iPad sketches while watching the fall premiere of my favorite shows. Bristol board paper with the Inktober paper has been printed and I have a full supply of ink cartridges for my brush pen.

Weekly Wrap-Up 9-19-17

It’s almost time for Inktober. I still haven’t decided if I am going to do some sequence stuff or just single page for the daily challenge. I do have a good grasp of the pencils and pens…so that’s the good part at least.

Weekly Wrap-Up 9-5-17

It really feels like summer is wrapping up, pumpkin spice is featured in everything already. The year is far from over but starting to think of some final pieces to work on for my end of the year art book. These are just my every couple of days drawings. I can’t get it to daily but doing the best I can.

Weekly Wrap-Up 8-21-17

I have been trying to do reference studies of faces at least every other day. After doing a couple I pick a pose and build it up a bit more and force myself to color it. I don’t hate coloring but after finding my lines in a rough sketch I really want to move on.

Weekly Wrap-Up 8-8-17

Having a blast edited my brushes and changed a couple of settings Medibang Paint on iPad feels so smooth now. It finally feels loose like how a blue line pencil sketch should feel. The coloring is still a process I am trying to get faster using.

Weekly Wrap-Up 7-23-17

Trying to do full color designs. I get into a habit of doing VERY loose sketch lines followed but clean-up lines and moving onto something else after that.

Weekly Wrap-Up 7-9-17

Filling up the sketchbook daily again. I try to do a couple pages while watching summer shows, but most of the designs don’t make it past the thumbnail stage.

Weekly Wrap-Up 6-18-17

Back at it again. I fell behind on a couple of projects so right now I trying to remember how to draw again. I have 5 pages of scribbles and 3 bristol sheets that never went anywhere. This is the first batch that feels good.

Weekly Wrap-Up 4-30-17

The last couple of weeks just trying to fit a couple of sketches on paper or on the iPad just to keep creative. Watching a lot of Into The Badlands such an epic series.
