Recently spent sometime getting familiar with Manga Studio/Clip Paint Studio again. Photoshop is my primary tablet interface but I wanted to see what changed. After installing the latest brushes from Frenden, I can say quite a bit. The new tips just feel more organic and the lag that was around with the latest OSX El Capitan update is now gone.
The first three sketches are from the weekend done using traditional ink and paper. Also, I just finished Into The Badlands this week so thus the flood of characters from that world will begin.

The end of the year is always a great time to catch up with friends and just draw 24/7. This is my last batch of sketches for 2015. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has waiting around the corner.

I can’t believe till this year I have never seen Sylvester Stallone’s Cobra. This film holds everything I love about 80’s action movies in one. Halfway though the film I did a couple of sketches and this one is my fave quick little profile.
I did this a couple of days prior to the new season of Luther airing on television. Next Elba sketch I do I need to grey up the facial hair a bit.
It feels like every year I do a Storm illustration. I guess this is my annual Storm for 2015.
The other day Kotaku posted an article about Nintendo creating a female Link character called Linkel. I loved the character design image they released for her, I had to do my interpretation.
Finally got around to watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I was never a huge Star Wars fan but the art book is really inspiring. Most of my Star Wars sketches have been based on trailer impressions. This is the first batch I have done since actually seeing the new movie.

Found out Friday it was Shawn Carters aka “Jay-Z’s” birthday, I had to do a quick sketch and ended up coloring it.
Working on a couple of larger designs at the moment still finding time to do these little illustrations. Sketch Dailies really helped me to get my initial designs out on paper much quicker.
